Why I’m Starting a Blog to Record Making Memories With My Two Daughters

Life moves fast — faster than I ever imagined it would. Between school runs, bedtime stories, and the beautiful chaos of everyday routines, I’ve realized how quickly moments with my daughters slip through my fingers.

That’s why I’ve decided to start this blog — a little digital scrapbook where I can capture the stories, laughter, lessons, and love we share as we grow together.

Preserving the Little Things

It’s easy to remember the big milestones: birthdays, first days of school, holidays. But it’s the little things — the spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen, the whispered bedtime conversations, the messy craft projects that never quite go as planned — that make up the real magic of our lives.

Writing these moments down helps me hold onto them. It gives me a way to pause, reflect, and appreciate the everyday joy of being their mom.

Creating Something for Them

One day, my daughters will be older. They’ll have their own lives, their own adventures, and maybe even families of their own. I want this blog to be something they can look back on — a record of their childhood through my eyes. A reminder of how much they were (and always will be) loved, how deeply they made an impact on me, and how we built our family story together.

Encouraging Connection

In a world where it’s so easy to get lost in screens and schedules, this blog is also a way for us to stay connected — not just with each other, but with friends, family, and maybe even other parents who understand the joy (and occasional exhaustion) of raising children.

If our experiences, triumphs, and lessons can bring a smile or inspire someone else, that makes it all the more meaningful.

A Journey of Growth

This isn’t just about documenting their growth — it’s about documenting mine, too. Motherhood has been my greatest teacher. Through every challenge and every laugh, I’m learning patience, gratitude, and what it truly means to be present.
